For over three decades, Cuproban has been at the forefront of marine growth prevention and corrosion control. Founded in the United Kingdom, we've grown from a specialist supplier to a globally trusted engineering partner — with systems protecting vessels on every ocean.
Cuproban is a UK-based engineering company specialising exclusively in Marine Growth Protection Systems (MGPS) and Corrosion Control. Our focus is narrow by design — it means every engineer, every product, and every installation is optimised for one purpose: keeping your vessel's seawater systems clean and your structures corrosion-free.
We work directly with ship operators, naval architects, offshore engineers, and shipyards worldwide. Whether you're fitting out a new build or retrofitting an ageing fleet, our team provides the technical expertise and class-approved hardware to get the job done right.
Every system we supply is engineered to specification — not off the shelf. We design around your vessel, not the other way around.
With support offices and approved installers on every continent, we deliver and commission systems wherever your fleet operates.
Our products carry type approval from all major classification societies, giving operators confidence in compliance and performance.
We don't disappear after installation. Our team provides ongoing technical support, spares, and system monitoring throughout the vessel's life.
Cuproban founded in the United Kingdom, supplying copper-based MGPS to the Royal Navy and commercial fleets.
Expanded into offshore sector — first FPSO installation in the North Sea.
Achieved Lloyd's Register and DNV type approval for full MGPS product range.
Opened regional support offices in Singapore and Dubai to serve Asia-Pacific and Middle East markets.
Launched next-generation impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) control systems with remote monitoring.
Over 500 vessels and 50 offshore structures protected across more than 50 countries.
"Engineered for the sea.
Trusted by the industry."

Cuproban Systems Limited has been at the forefront of electrolytic marine protection since its founding in England, UK. Our original brochure — still as relevant today as when it was printed — describes an improved electrolytic method for protection against marine growth fouling of sea chests, pipelines, strainers, valves, condensers and all seawater systems.
The core technology remains the same: copper and aluminium anodes, energised by a DC impressed current, release ions that form a protective "floc" throughout the seawater system — preventing biological fouling and corrosion at source. Fully automatic. Safer than chemicals. Economical to run.
